How To Apply for Non-Medical Research:
- Review the Research Policy.

- Identify and outline the program goals, measurable objectives, activities, and an evaluation design for your research. Use the Logic Model
and Logic Model Instructions
to help accomplish this step.
- Draft a comprehensive, formal research proposal.
- Obtain IRB approval if the research involves human subjects.
- Submit the Research Proposal, along with IRB approval (when applicable) to the Associate Director of Planning & Research by mail: 1 WilmaSchesler Lane, Pinel Building-2nd floor, Cranston, RI, 02920 or via email: planning@doc.ri.gov.
- You will be notified, in writing, once your research has been approved or denied by the Director.

- Submit one copy of the Research Proposal, along with IRB approval, and the Medical Review Advisory Group (MRAG) Application Form to the Associate Director of Planning & Research by mail: 1 Wilma Schesler Lane, Pinel Building-2nd floor, Cranston, RI, 02920 or via email: planning@doc.ri.gov.
- You will be notified, in writing, once your research has been approved or denied by the Director.
